Expert on sustainable design in renovations

While speaking to Briefly News, an architect and interior designer, Erwan Kabwita shared sustainable design practices that can be incorporated into such renovations to make them more eco-friendly and cost-effective by saying:

"Contrast refers to the deliberate placement of elements with opposing characteristics to create visual interest, dynamism, and emphasis in a design. Unity refers to the fundamental design principle where all elements of a building or space work together cohesively to create a harmonious and balanced environment."

The architect and interior designer added:

"When we are doing renovations, more eco-friendly or cost-effective, we are supposed to be focused on energy efficiency with things such as Solar Panels and LED lighting, water conservation and rain rainwater harvesting, sustainable materials, recycled steel, waste reduction by recycling construction debris and using locally sourced materials, depending on a particular region."
