After former Generations: The Legacy actress Mahlatse Letoka alleged that a rapture would occur on 23 September, 2025 via an email to her KPMG colleagues across the globe, many have shared their serious and humorous takes on the situation.

Nicholas, a long-haired TikTok user who many felt bore a resemblance to the portrayal of Jesus Christ, took the comical route when asked about the rapture.

The day before the scheduled rapture, someone on social media asked Nicholas:

"Lord, should we go to work tomorrow, or are you fetching us?"

Responding to the person on his account, Nicholas said nothing but responded comically with facial expressions, looking the person up and down and rolling his eyes on screen.

He added in his caption:

"How would anyone know?"

A screenshot of the alleged email, which X user @Thando______ shared on the app, showed that Mahlatse, who switched from acting scripts to scripture, referred to herself as Jesus Christ's servant, adding:

"I'd rather get fired than watch my colleagues go through this. Listen, World War 3 is coming, and this entire economy is about to collapse (New York is likely to go down first)."

She noted that Jesus would take the Christians who were ready between 23 and 24 September, 2025 and attached a PDF titled 'Notes on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.'

The internet jokes with 'Jesus'

Thousands of internet users headed to the comment section to not only talk about the supposed rapture, but also about other topics related to the real Jesus. The man's reaction to the question also had social media users joking that Jesus had mood swings.

@faith.xalabile2 jokingly stated in the comments:

"I don’t want to be raptured from work, please come in the morning around 5am. Do we wear pajamas or church uniform?"

A humorous @ke_nna_petunia asked:

"Hey, do you mind sharing the recipe for turning water into wine?"

@samahilarious, who thought about this month's money, added under the post:

"Can you please wait until the 25th? What will happen to my salary?"
