A South African couple captured the magic of a Kruger National Park camping trip on TikTok, and viewers were mesmerised.
Philip and Rhyan, who go by @thedailydistance on TikTok, posted a vlog on 5 August 2026, documenting day four of their annual Kruger camping trip. The clip moved between cosy camper shots and wide open bushveld scenes, giving followers a real taste of life on the road in one of South Africa's most iconic reserves.
The morning started cold, with mittens on for the early game drive and coffee as a non-negotiable first stop. Philip, who had just completed a 21-kilometre run the day before, was feeling the effects but powering through.
Buffalo, elephants and eating on a rock
The game drive delivered. The group spotted buffalo more than once, calling them "nice Biffles," and later caught sight of an elephant in the distance during what turned into an impromptu sundowner session.
