A South African student named Kuhle Hloma walked out of KFC with two Streetwise Twos for just R4 after a viral app promotion sent crowds rushing to the restaurant.

The deal required customers to download the KFC app, head into a store, scan a code at the machine, and pay R2 per Streetwise Two. When word spread at Kuhle's school, she and her friends wasted no time.

"We were still at school. So we rushed there after school."

When Kuhle arrived, the scene inside was chaotic. Queues stretched through the KFC store, and the atmosphere was anything but calm. She secured her two meals and stepped aside to wait for her friends to go through the process themselves.

That is when things took a turn. By the time her friends reached the front of the queue, staff announced the system was down. Kuhle suspected it was not a glitch at all, but simply too many orders flooding in at once. Either way, she had already walked away with her meals.

"Whether it was a glitch or not, thank you so much."
