A group of South African fans in Baltimore, USA, refused to let a small thing like closing time get in the way of their celebrations.
Footage shared by Instagram user @zandyshej on 13 September 2026, captured the moment the lights came on at a club-style venue, the usual signal for everyone to head home. For this crowd, it was simply the cue to sing louder.
Dozens of fans dressed in green-and-gold Springbok jerseys packed the venue, belting out Shosholoza at full volume. The traditional South African song, whose lyrics speak of a train coming from the mountains of South Africa, has long been adopted as a rallying anthem of Springbok pride.
