A younger woman from KwaZulu-Natal captured the attention of social media users with a viral video defending her marriage to a respected local reverend.

The clip, shared on TikTok by @indabenkulu, garnered 1.3M views, 74K likes, and 6.9K likes from an online community that shared mixed opinions.

The glowing newlywed from rural KZN started her video by saying that people should do what works for them and not question her decision. She said no one forced her to marry her older husband, adding that her age mates did not do anything for her, but the old man did much and made her feel important.

The wife defends her marriage

The woman said those who would not marry older men should speak for themselves, as she is happy with her decision. She noted that she did not care whether he had money or not, saying the treatment was better with an older man. She finished by expressing that she loves her husband and that he loves her too, adding that she was satisfied with everything.
