A Cape Town private chef known as @infamous_foody went viral on 27 August 2026 after sharing a day in his life cooking for his millionaire employer. The video was filmed inside a breathtaking modern home featuring granite countertops, wooden kitchen cabinetry, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and a long outdoor pool overlooking the city.

From the kitchen, he got to work on a full day's worth of meals. Breakfast included layered yoghurt parfaits topped with granola, muesli and fresh berries, alongside French toast plated with cherries, chocolate chips and fruit. He also blended a creamy drink before turning his attention to the main meals, seasoning meat, wrapping it in foil, and slow-cooking it alongside baby marrow, baby corn and avocado until it was falling off the bone. By the end, a long dining table was set with a colourful, generous spread that he had prepared entirely from scratch.

What struck viewers most was not just the food but the setting.
