On his way to Bloemfontein, he allegedly received a call from the CEO not to attend the NEC meeting. He said that on his arrival, he was informed that his room was given to another NEC member, and he was booked into the Road Lodge. The CEO allegedly followed the instructions of Jordaan.
Mkhangelwa stated that the CEO used her own money to book him at the Southern Sun after he refused the previous accommodation. This was only for one night, and the CEO reportedly told him to find alternatives the following day.

Why was Mkhangelwa suspended?
The president of Safa Nelson Mandela Bay was suspended for allegedly instigating racial tension in the region. It is reported that Mkhangelwa told people that coloured people should not lead football in the Nelson Mandela Bay region.
This is a violation of the Nelson Mandela Bay Football Association (NMBFA) constitution. It is also alleged that Mkhangelwa made allegations about the Safa president, Danny Jordaan’s, financial funding of the Larofa pre-season tournament during 2025.
