KWAZULU-NATAL — National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader Fadiel Adams made a brief appearance at the Pinetown Magistrate's Court on 16 October 2026 for a pre-trial conference relating to charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice.
Adams is accused of misrepresenting himself as being on official parliamentary duty to gain escorted access to Westville Prison between 2024 and 2025. Prosecutors allege he used this access to conduct unauthorised interviews with inmates connected to high-profile murder cases.
