After roping Vladislav Heric in not that long ago, Chippa United have now released the Serbian tactician.

The Chilli Boys are still licking their wounds after losing 2-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic on Tuesday in the DStv Premiership, a result that means they are now facing the possibility of playing for their lives in the next two matches.

Heric was in charge when the club reached the Nedbank Cup final but they lost Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and his departure comes as a shock considering that out of the five league games he took charge he won two, drew two and lost one.

He won the club eight points from a possible 15, which is a third of the 25 they have now sitting second from bottom.

Among his biggest games he oversaw, Heric was at the helm when they beat Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC BUT then drew with Golden Arrows and Black Leopards.

Media reports suggest that he was fired just because he failed to bag the full three points against Phunya Sele Sele, which was his only defeat at the club.

The former Lidoda Duvha boss was initially hired as a technical advisor last month but then took charge of the dressing room straight after Luc Eymael's appointment was rescinded.

Goal also reports that this season’s Ke Yona losing finalists have reportedly fired coach Heric following the team's defeat to Celtic on Tuesday.

The Serbian tactician only joined the Chilli Boys last month as the technical director with the club under the guidance of interim coach Siyabulela Gwambi at the time.

Briefly News reported that in their quest to rescue their DStv Premiership status, Chippa had roped Heric in as the new technical advisor. The Serbian mentor was hired to guide the Chilli Boys, especially in the wake of their recent loss to Baroka at home.

Chippa were languishing at the bottom of the log table, number 15 with 25 points and two games remaining to finish the 2020/21 season.
