Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso spoke about his team's tough period. Cardoso believes that Amakhosi's rough start to the season is behind them and better days have arrived. The 32-year-old is confident in Chiefs.
Chiefs came through for coach Gavin Hunt when they managed to secure a 1-0 defeat over AmaZulu earlier in the week. Cardoso spoke about wanting to see Chiefs' commitment and fighting spirit in their upcoming match.
Amakhosi is expected to face Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
According to Daily Sun, Cardoso spoke about Chiefs needing three points in their upcoming game. The footballer stated that it's not going to be an easy task but he hopes that his team continues on the path of good performances.
A report by GOAL stated that while speaking to Chiefs' media, Cardoso said that if Amakhosi could bring back the fighting spirit they had against Usuthu, they should walk away victorious after their game against City.
In other soccer news, Briefly.co.za earlier reported on Percy Tau's debut for Brighton & Hove Albion. The forward reportedly displayed flashes of his skills as they went up against Manchester City.
City came out on top after Phil Foden scored in the 44th minute securing a narrow defeat over Brighton. However, Brighton's manager Graham Potter had some positive words about Tau but admitted that being on constant defence made it difficult for Tau to display his full attacking ability.
Brighton is currently 17th on the EPL log with 14 points. TimesLive reported that Potter said there were glimpses of Tau's ability during his debut, adding that the 26-year-old would get better the longer he works with Brighton.
A report by KickOff stated that Tau spoke positively of his experience, stating that it was only a matter of time before Brighton raked in their wins.
