Manchester United Identify New ten Hag Replacement After Southgate, Tuchel Snubs
- Manchester United have reportedly added a Champions League finalist to their shortlist of potential coaches
- The Red Devils suffered a setback after Gareth Southgate and Thomas Tuchel seemingly rejected their offers
- Erik ten Hag's place as head coach remains uncertain, with the Dutch manager currently on a five-match winless streak
Manchester United have reportedly identified a new potential head coach should they decide to sack Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag's position at Old Trafford remains precarious despite members of the board still backing him to turn things around.
The Red Devils have made a pathetic start to the new Premier League season, winning only two games in their first seven. They are also yet to win a game in the Europa League, registering draws against Twente and Porto.
United are currently 14th on the table, with only five points separating them from the relegation places.

The rumour mill had Gareth Southgate and Thomas Tuchel among the candidates who were being considered to take over the hot seat. The former has, however, since confirmed that he is not interested in rushing back to coach after quitting his England role in the summer.
Tuchel also remains jobless after leaving Bayern Munich, but the former Chelsea boss is said to be eyeing England's job as talkSPORT reports.
United eye Champions League finalist
The Mirror now reports that United have turned their attention to Edin Terzic. Terzic left Borussia Dortmund last season after guiding them to the Champions League final. He has previous experience in England having previously served as Slaven Bilic's assistant at West Ham.
Inter Milan's Simone Inzaghi is also being considered as well.
Ten Hag will know he is on thin ice when club action resumes next weekend. United welcome Brentford before playing their former boss Jose Mourinho, currently with Fenerbahce, in the Europa League.
Man United owner on Erik ten Hag
Briefly News earlier reported that Man United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe broke his silence on Erik ten Hag's future.
Ratcliffe said the team in charge of running football will be responsible for making decisions like firing the coach.
