Fred Kerley has directed another subtle jibe at Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala weeks after he called out Africa's fastest man.

The two sprinters have faced each other around the world in the 100m, with Kerley coming on top a few times.

The American took home a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics while Omanyala reached the semis.

Kerley takes swipe at Omanyala

Kerley recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to double down on the comments he made about Omanyala, the fastest man on the African continent.

The former world champion shared a picture of him and Omanyala on his account, captioning it "levels to this (expletive) kids."

Most fans felt he was targeting the Kenyan sprinter he called out a few weeks ago.

Kerley is known as a soft-spoken athlete but is not afraid to speak his mind. He went back and forth with Olympic 100m gold medallist Noah Lyles in last year's World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

The two sprinters will meet face-to-face when the next track season kicks off. Kerley has beaten Omanyala eight times, while Omanyala's only win against Kerley was at the 2022 Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, per World Athletics.

Kerley questions Omanyala's record

During an appearance on Justin Gatlin's Ready Set Go podcast, Kerley mocked Omanyala's times set in Kenya when discussing who forced Gatlin to retire, as reported earlier.

Without hesitation, he said the times set in Kenya do not count, stressing that he wins races everywhere, unlike Omanyala, who only does it in Kenya.

Briefly News earlier reported that Retired American sprinter Justin Gatlin has picked Botswana star Letsile Tebogo as the male track MVP of 2024. The Botswana sprinter defeated Noah Lyles to win the 200m gold medal at the Paris Olympics and nearly won the Diamond League title.

In the 200m, he produced an epic performance to beat Americans Noah Lyles and Kenny Bednarek to win gold, the first by an African.
