A sports journalist has shared his thoughts on the veteran's injury and how it can be a major problem for both the Brazilians and Bafana.

Zwane's Injury Woes

Sports journalist Moses Mbogo, in an exclusive chat with Briefly News, aired his views about Zwane's injury issues and how they could affect his club and the country's national team.

"It is a pity that a talented player like Themba Zwane is facing such a predicament; he should be enjoying his latter stage as a footballer, but these constant injuries are affecting that," he said.
"We all know what Zwane can do with the ball and how he changes the game. I just hope the injury he suffered today won't be that bad or keep him out of action for a lengthy period."

Mbogo went on to explain how Zwane's constant injury issues could be a disadvantage to Sundowns and the South Africa national team.

"Zwane is an important player for both Bafana Bafana and Sundowns, and with upcoming competitions for both teams, the unavailability of one of the important players for both teams could affect their performance," he added.
"Broos mentioned how Zwane is important to his team, and he's yet to find a perfect replacement for him in the national team. He’s counting on him for AFCON and the FIFA World Cup.
"The creative aspect of both Bafana Bafana and Sundowns would be dangerously affected, especially Sundowns, who are also without Lucas Ribeiro."

The extent of Zwane's current injury is yet to be known, but he is expected to be on the sidelines for a few days, with the hope that he can be fit for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in December.
