The gesture followed a public outpouring of support for the artist after he shared a candid account of his recovery from a stroke that nearly ended his life and career. L'vovo, whose real name is Thokozani Ndlovu, first opened up about his ordeal to Gagasi FM presenter Linda Sibiya a fortnight ago.
L'vovo's stroke and long road to recovery
Ndlovu collapsed while performing on stage in December 2022 and was immediately taken to hospital. He spent several weeks in the Intensive Care Unit, having lost the ability to speak properly or walk without difficulty.

The financial consequences were severe. With no performances or bookings, Ndlovu was forced to return to his family home and largely withdrew from public life.
Voice loss forced music hiatus
Among the most difficult aspects of his recovery was the loss of his voice and vocal projection, which made recording or performing impossible for an extended period.
Take a look at the picture below.
"I was unable to speak properly or project my voice. So, making music simply wasn't an option," Ndlovu explained.
The visit to Naturena, where Chiefs officials welcomed him into the facility and gifted him club merchandise, marked a visible milestone in his return to public life. The club's gesture drew attention to Ndlovu's resilience and the ongoing support he has received since his story became widely known.
