Jody Solomons marked a bittersweet milestone on Instagram when she shared photos of her son Jude's second birthday celebration.
The toddler, who is the son of the late Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams, turned two surrounded by black and gold balloon decorations, a gold crown, and a "2" balloon.
Solomons posted the photos five days ago with the caption:
"My baby is TWO!!!! 😭🎂💙"
The post quickly caught the attention of South Africans, many of whom noted how strongly Jude resembles his late father.

Jude at his father's funeral
The birthday comes just weeks after Jude attended the funeral of his father. Jayden Adams passed away on 11 July 2026 at the age of 25 and was laid to rest on 25 July at the Coetzenburg Centre in Stellenbosch.
Solomons brought Jude to the service, where the toddler drew widespread attention online for how closely he resembles Adams. Adams' partner, Aqueelah Adendorf, was also present with the couple's daughter, Allaia-Jayda. The two women sat side by side during the ceremony, and both were invited to light candles in memory of the footballer.
In the aftermath of Adams' passing, Adendorf faced serious online abuse from people who blamed her for his death. Minister of Sport Gayton McKenzie confirmed she had received death threats. Adendorf addressed the claims via an Instagram Story.
PSL Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza presented a posthumous Chairman's Award to the Adams family at the PSL Awards ceremony on 27 July 2026, in a tribute that moved many South Africans.
