Saskia Snyman gave followers a rare and tender glimpse into new motherhood with a heartfelt Instagram carousel posted from what she called "the bubble."
The wife of Springbok lock RG Snyman shared eight photographs captioned "in the bubble, and I get it now 🫧", each one focused on a small, quiet moment with her newborn daughter.
A baby asleep in a cream bassinet, a tiny hand and foot cradled in a large tattooed hand, and a man walking down a hospital corridor carrying a car seat were among the scenes she chose to share. The baby's face does not appear in any of the images.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Rooks Rose, in September 2026. Saskia had announced the birth with the words "She's here, and she's perfect."
RG Snyman's road to recovery
The arrival of Rooks Rose comes during a challenging period for the family. RG, 31, ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a match against Glasgow Warriors in March, ending his 2025/26 season and keeping him out of Springbok contention this year. The couple have been based in Ireland since 2020, when RG joined Munster. He moved to Leinster in 2024.

The two first met as students at the University of Pretoria. RG proposed at the Marataba Game Reserve in March 2019, and they married that November, just weeks after South Africa lifted the Rugby World Cup trophy in Japan.
