Woman Becomes 1st Time Mother by Welcoming Quadruplets at Age 46, Mzansi Stunned

A 46-year-old Ghanaian woman, Juana Antwi, has become a first-time mother after delivering adorable quadruplets that include two boys and two girls.

Juana and her husband Peter Afriyie Kwarteng, a 66-year-old-old pensioner turned farmer, welcomed the four babies in 2021 at Offinso Asamankama in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Speaking to Briefly News, Juana revealed that her first child died before labour some 10 years ago and had since dreamed of becoming a parent.

''I lost my first child at the hospital before labour. The child died in my womb and I've been trying to get pregnant ever since,'' says Juana.

Welcoming the quadruplets

After years of several attempts to become pregnant again, Juana and her husband finally welcomed the quadruplets on Monday, October 4, 2021.

She expressed excitement about becoming a first-time mother but noted that they need help to make ends meet.

''We have been expecting a child but not four at a go,'' she said. Her husband, Peter Kwarteng also spoke about the birth of their children while asking for financial assistance.
''I'm a pensioner, and the responsibility is too much. We need help to provide for the babies,'' he said.

Meanwhile, a Greensboro-based woman in North Carolina, Dr Susie Troxler, has become a first-time mom after welcoming her first daughter at age 50.

Dr Susie and her significant other, Tony Troxler, 61, told WFMY News that their fertility journey to have a baby began decades ago. Dr Susie started soon after she married her husband Tony in 2008.

Speaking about the miracle birth of their baby girl, Dr Susie revealed that soon after they got married, they thought they'd get pregnant easily like most people.
