KINGSTON, JAMAICA. Reggae star Gramps Morgan of the Morgan Heritage family is morning the loss of his younger brother's 12-year-old old son Michael.

He penned an emotional farewell message to the youngster who met his demise through a tragic road accident.

The Wash The Tears singer expressed his grief, adding that this loss for their family goes so deep.

Gramps also took the opportunity to remind parents to show more love to their children because no one can predict what will happen next.

"Parents love your children, hug them, kiss them, Tell them you love them; no one knows the minute nor the hour. Thank you everyone for the condolences," read part of his statement.

He requested for prayer as the family and parents come to terms with the difficult period.

"It is very hard to deal with this pain as a father. This cut is deep! I love you Mickey! #michaelmorganforever RIP my nephew," he concluded.

Fellow artists, friends and fans globally condoned with the celebrated artist, cognizant to the fact that the loss of a child of such a young age cuts everyone deepest.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that Mzansi actress Shaleen Surtie-Richards has died. On Monday, the actress was discovered dead in a guest house near Cape Town. Shaleen was best recognised for her roles as Ester Willemse in the M-Net soap series Egoli: Place Of Gold and as Fiela in the 1988 film Fiela se Kind.

The actress' family is going to release a statement at a later stage but it was reported by News24 that she had experienced trouble breathing.

"She's been struggling with her health lately. She's had complications with her lungs and has struggled to breath, but the cause of her death is not yet known. She was in Cape Town to film scenes for the kykNET telenovela, 'Arendsvlei'," said actress Lizz Meiring.
