Top Chef South Africa judge, Lesego Semenya, has reflected on his incredible success 10 years after quitting a corporate job to pursue his passion.

The Soweto-born Lesego is an internationally recognised chef who has catered to a slew of local and international celebrities. Writing on Twitter, he said:

It's been 10 years since I sent my resignation letter to the HR department at the business consultancy firm I used to work at. What a journey it has been.

Lesego was named one of Mail&Guardian's Top 200 Young South Africans for 2015. Some of the celebrities he has catered to include billionaires Richard Branson and Howard Buffet.

In addition, he has catered to Liverpool FC and the British High Commission. His success has seen him become a prominent media personality as well as brand ambassador and influencer.

However, Lesego warned that success never comes easy. He even thought of going back to the corporate world sometimes.
