Career statistics

He made his football career debut on 15th August 2007 against Thanda Royal Zulu and joined Kaizer Chiefs the same year ahead of the 2007-2008 Premier Soccer League season. After his debut to Kaizer Chiefs, he scored the chief’s first goal in a 2-0 win. He slowly became a regular in his first-team through making ten league appearances in 2009-2010, and he has won several leagues for several teams.

In 2012-2013, he played for Chiefs, and they won a League and double. In 2013-2014, he made his Champions League debut against Black Africa and scored 3-0. He came off the bench in the Nedbank Cup last sixteen matches and scored against ABC Motsepe league side FC Buffalo.

He has also received an offer from Mpumalanga Black Aces, but this deal was not successful after they found out his high salary requirement. He was also at a point of being loaned by Ajax Cape Town or the Moroka Swallows. Malango began the 2014-2015 season with a brace win, scoring 4-0 over Mpumalanga.

His score of a solitary penalty goal in the 45th minute against Maritzburg United attracted the interest of Ligue 1 club Renneshoping to sign him. They even had to send a representative to South Africa to monitor him playing. The famous football player has been through some challenges in his career. Masango spent several seasons playing for chiefs. However, he left Chiefs and joined Randers FC in Denmark which he left in July 2017 and has since not played for any other clubs.

The former Kaizer Chiefs winger allegedly tried his luck at Highlands Park, aiming to revive his ailing career in the premier. Even though he still looks sharp, the Highland Park decided not to sign Mandla Masango because he has been out of the game for so long, and therefore, it will take some time before he is back to his best.

He has been declined to join BUCS where the former Orlando Pirates star Mkhalele said that he was not good enough for BUCS. Masango is currently recognized as one of Denmark’s Randers players but was sidelined after a fall-out with the team for stopping a move to fellow the Danish outfit Aalborg.
