Chincha Guluva founded the Kazier Chiefs football club on January 6th, 1970, to keep the promise he made to himself and the players out there that he would start a club that was professionally run, and most importantly, its players would be treated well and paid as they were promised. This decision came after he came home to settle a dispute for his former team the Orlando Pirates between the coach and three of the team’s players.

He came up with the name of the football club by joining his name with that of his former team, the Atlanta chiefs. However, he was not alone in forming the football Club; he had the help of Gilbert Segakabi, Clarence Mlokoti, and China Ngema. The Amakhosi headquarters are in Naturena, Johannesburg.
