Pearl Thusi recently got candid about her relationship and breakup with sports journalist and media personality, Robert Marawa.

The star was a guest on Mac G's Podcast and Chill and the two chatted about multiple topics but she answered openly when the host enquired about her relationship with Robert.

Pearl said that she knew that the relationship was no longer the best for her and that she is very good at recognising that moving on is important for growth. She said: "Some people are so desperate to stay safe and secure that they never grow. And that's so sad for me."

Pearl described how she knew the relationship had run its course and that, as much as she wanted to stay, she knew that it was not benefitting her any longer:

"Robert and I had a great relationship things didn't work for reasons we'd rather not talk about. That wasn't our intentions but that's what happened. You need to know when to leave situations no matter how much you want to stay. When something is not good for you don't die in it, learn from it and move on."

The Queen Sono star continued by explaining that she feels strongly that she needs to have a future with her significant other and, if she doesn't, it's not worth it:

"In all my relationships I feel like that's been the situation. I get to a point where I'm like - cause every relationship is supposed to be a consideration of, is this the rest of my life? - and if you're saying No then you're wasting time."
