Covid-19 has claimed another victim. This time, it was Zodwa Wabantu's aunt who passed away due to the virus.
The star shared the tragic news to social media and announced to her followers that Covid-19 was very real and that life could end in an instant.
Zodwa posted video footage of herself crying and explained that her tears were because she was grieving the loss of her aunt.
Zodwa wrote in a caption alongside her post that her aunt had passed and urged her followers to remember how short life is and how deadly Covid-19 has been as it cruelly continues to take people away from those who love them.
"My aunt has passed away. Today you are happy, tomorrow you are sad. Alive today and tomorrow you are dead. Covid-19 is real."
The celebrity's fans took to the comments section to send her their condolences.
In previous Zodwa Wabantu-related news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on the star becoming a chicken farmer and asking her fans to support the new venture.
It’s definitely a new year of new things. It seems Zodwa Wabantu was serious when she shared her aspirations to sell chickens and eggs. The media personality took to social media to share a video of herself with her chickens.
Since Ramaphosa basically shut down the entertainment industry, Zodwa said that she would be turning to chickens to make a living. In the footage she shared, Zodwa could be seen picking up a live chicken while talking about her new endeavour. Her fans promised to support her new hustle.
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za also previously reported that Zodwa Wabantu recently took to social media to make it clear that she doesn’t care if people call her gogo. Showing off her natural and bare body, the dancer revealed that she was being real with herself and that made her happy.
The celeb was well aware that some people still thought her too old for show biz but said she couldn’t be bothered. As her 2020 birthday approached this month, Zodwa is proud to add another year to her life.
She took to Instagram and posted:
“Home-made UMFAZI. No filter, raw body of a beautiful old woman born October 9. I grow, I’m happy, I’m not afraid to grow."
Her fans thought she looked amazing and definitely didn’t look her age.
