Big Zulu has suggested that he is not happy with the Song of the Year results on Ukhozi FM. The rapper had one of the most popular songs in the festive season.

His track titled Imali Eningi was one of the songs on the popular radio station's Top 10 tracks that were competing for the Song of the Year spot which was voted for by the public.

Unfortunately Nkabi's track wasn't the winner. Khuzani's Maskandi song titled Ijele took the number one spot after receiving 957 950 votes. Big Zulu took to Twitter on 2 December to react to a post by a politician who was complaining that Imali Eningi didn't win.

"Imali Eningi is the song of the year apha kum (for me)... anyone who wants to argue go argue with your fork and knife."

@LMakhetloane said:

"Maybe you should have used a lot of guitar and made it sound more like Maskandi and called it hip-skandi (hip hop + Maskandi). Maskandi fans want more than just Brentwood, you need to back it up with a guitar. Maybe they would have voted for you."

"Nkabi... you shouldn't be entertaining such statements... Multiple voting has always been allowed (doesn’t mean it's right). But you knew the terms before competing. Maskadi lovers mobilize their fans and they vote thousands times per person."

@MissBlackzar added:

"We no longer care who says what... OKSALAYO (what matters is) we entered the New Year with a blast nge #ImaliEningi."
