Gqom queen Babes Wodumo has opened up about her career in the latest instalment of Podcast and Chill with MacG. The podcaster asked all the questions that people would like to know about Babes' journey through fame.
The singer opened up about the money she made from her hit single Wololo and her tumultuous relationship with Mampintsha. Her latest album has reached platinum status currently but things were not always rosy as she climbed her way up.
Babes revealed that she wished that she could've been a lot wiser with her money. She revealed that she would make R1 million every weekend but she was not paying her dancers the money that they deserved. The star spent most of her money on weaves and alcohol.
“Looking back I could’ve done better,” she said.
The Gqom artist spoke about how she met her husband Mampintsha. She met him while she was a video vixen and they started their relationship. She also spoke about how their wedding special will be airing on Showmax soon.
Fans on social media reacted to the video on Twitter and one reaction stood out from the rest. Mampintsha had even called babes during the interview to confirm that she really was there. Twitter user @SZondi commented:
"Mampintsha called twice during the interview and even asked her to video call to prove she's at an interview. That part was not confusing. Babes Wodumo is a star man!"
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Babes Wodumo shared before and after pics of herself and Mampintsha. Babes Wodumo and her boo Mampintsha are more in love than ever after getting traditionally married.
Babes took to Instagram to share some before and after pictures of herself with Mampintsha. She tagged Mampintsha in the snaps and accompanied her caption with some hearts and kisses emojis.
The couple has been through a lot over the years and has been in the media for the wrong reasons at times. It seems as though the pair has finally found a way to adjust and love each other unconditionally.
