Media personality Anele Mdoda is not impressed with how certain African leaders choose to handle their business. Taking to social media, Anele said that some African leaders are failing their people.
It all started when a report by a news media outlet said that the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is going to fly to the United Kingdom to get medical treatment. This caused outrage from a number of social media users, including Anele.
"Nothing upsets me more than African leaders who fly to the UK for medical. IT MEANS YOU ARE FAILING SIR!" tweeted Anele.
Social media users in Africa are upset with Buhari's decision to get medical treatment in the UK instead of depending on Nigeria's doctors to help him. This is especially because medical doctors in Nigeria are preparing to strike because of unpaid salaries.
Take a look at the reactions to Anele's tweet below:
"Are there no good hospitals in Nigeria that can do medical checkups for him?"
"Failing or failed? @MBuhari is a national disgrace. A huge failure! My birth country Nigeria is in the worst shape that it has ever been. A mess!"
"If I had a choice & cash I would also fly to UK for medical care."
