"Creating Magic": Mzansi Telenovela 'Gomora' Renewed for Season 2

When Gomora came onto the scene, fans were excited about what the new telenovela would bring. Now that the first season is coming to an end, Mzansi has been wondering if they'll get the chance to see Season 2 - and that wish is coming true for the producers. Gomora has been renewed.

Taking to social media, Lulu Hela, the telenovela's producer announced that her beautiful project was going to see a new season hit the screens. She tweeted:

In other entertainment news, Briefly News reported that TV drama Lingashoni flopped and failed to get into the list of top shows in Mzansi. Lingashoni has failed to rake in the viewers it expected to receive.

The telenovela, produced by Stained Glass TV, is not doing so well and couldn't even break into the Top 30 most-watched shows in Mzansi.

According to entertainment blogger Phil Mphela, the show has had a bit of a rough start and it's not what was expected.

"The 1Magic show was available to Compact viewers when it premiered on 22nd until 28 March but failed to attract enough viewers to crack DStv’s Top 30 list in March," tweeted Phil.
