Celebrated actor and singer Jamie Foxx is still hospitalized in Atlanta, almost a week after he experienced a medical complication.

Health scare

The medical scare saw Foxx halt filming for his upcoming movie, Back in Action with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

According to Page Six, the actor was reportedly having tests run as doctors try to determine the cause of his health issue.

The 55-year-old actor was not on set filming his upcoming movie when the incident occurred, and he did not require an emergency vehicle to transport him to the hospital.

Doctors are still trying to figure out exactly what happened to occasion the health scare.

People reported that sources close to Foxx have reported that he is steadily improving and is expected to make a full recovery.

On Thursday, April 13, Briefly News reported that Foxx's daughter Corinne disclosed that her father experienced a medical complication but was recovering well.

She assured fans that her father was now doing well and taking care of himself.

The actor's daughter also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers.

She took to Instagram to announce her father's condition. The medical condition, however, has remained under wraps.

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” wrote Corrine.

TMZ reported that sources intimated that Foxx, 55, was rushed to the hospital and members of his family travelled into town.

Foxx's health scare coincided with his return to filming Back in Action after rumours of a meltdown.

Reports suggest that Jamie Foxx caused a scene on the set of the Seth Gordon-helmed film, leading to the firing of several crew members.
