The saying "Dreams delayed are not dreams denied" rings true to DJ Shimza's dream of performing at the Tomorrowland festival.

The iconic festival takes place at Bloom, Belgium, from 18 to 27 July 2025. Having once attended as an audience member in 2019, it was then that Shimza's dream was ignited.

"I first went on a sponsored trip by Budweiser South Africa for their campaign. I remember taking a picture on the main stage and saying that I was learning from my experience. I was blessed enough to be there and see what it was."

Shimza, who recently secured a residency at Ibiza, says he was first booked at the festival in 2020, but the show was later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Seeing myself going to play today is a dream come true. Even when the show was cancelled in 2020, I did say that my dreams were delayed but not denied."

The iconic festival makes headlines every year for its incredible sets and festival culture.

However, it was a different story when a major fire broke out on the Orbyz stage on 16 July. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the team managed to rebuild the stage just in time for the opening day.

In other news, Billboard reports that a Canadian woman tragically passed away after attending Tomorrowland on 18 July. The 35-year-old allegedly fell ill on festival grounds, later being transferred to a hospital, where she died the following morning.
