Award-winning TV and radio personality Minnie Dlamini has taken legal action against Podcast and Chill's Sol Phenduka and MacG Mukwevho.

The podcaster made headlines in May when he apologised to Dlamini for insulting her, and even invited her to his YouTube channel to make amends.

Sunday World reports that Minnie Dlamini has dragged podcasters Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho and Solomzi “Sol” Phenduka to the Equality Court for hate speech, unfair discrimination, and harassment based on sex or gender.

The publication adds that Dlamini filed court papers last week and said she did not accept Mukwevho’s apology and instead wants them to face the wrath of the law.

The media personality is reportedly demanding R1 million in damages for the impairment of her dignity and also wants the podcasters to pay R1.5 million to a women’s organisation.

“The respondents shall, jointly and severally, pay R1 500 000 to Women for Change (a non-profit organisation registered with the Department of Social Development) within 90 days,” Dlamini submitted.

It is believed the media personality also said that although Mukwevho apologised for insulting her, there was no trace of contrition, remorse, or sincerity in the delivery of the apology.

Entertainment news channel MDN News shared a screenshot of the front page of the article on X on Sunday, 3 August, which states that Dlamini is demanding millions from the podcasters.
