It seems like things aren't going well within the music industry for the young Amapiano star Young Stunna. The Adiwele hitmaker recently revealed how he was snubbed multiple times in the music space.
According to Sunday World Newspaper, the 27-year-old musician opened up about the challenges he has been facing in the industry, and he mostly focused on how many times he has been snubbed for platinum plaques for his hit songs.
Young Stunna also mentioned his personal experience with overcoming attacks and harsh homophobic labels from many netizens in the industry. The vocalist hasn't been having it easy, as in July 2025, robbers broke into his house and got away with valuables.
Djy Jaivane claims Young Stunna owes him
While battling with being snubbed in the music industry, Young Stunna faced another crisis as the popular music producer, Djy Jaivane, made some shocking claims about the vocalist.

On Wednesday, 5 August 2025, the Simnandi Records owner revealed during his interview on Piano Pulse that the young Amapiano vocalist owed him credits and royalties for his hit song, Adiwele.
The star, who was recently called out by Smaki 08 in July 2025, further explained how the hit song was recorded under his label when Young Stunna was still signed under him, although the song was released under Kabza De Small's record label.

Jaivane also mentioned that if he were not the kind of person he is now, he'd be doing what the vocalist is doing on social media and involving lawyers; he would've done that, but he prefers peace over havoc that will disturb his career.
"If I wanted to, I would have done the things he does on social media and said to Kabza this, Stunna this… and involved lawyers, but I’m not that person to run to lawyers," he said.

What you need to know about Young Stunna
The Amapiano star was born on 17th November 1997 in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa. He is 23 years old in 2021. He grew up in a Christian family and often sang in the church choir. His mother is a vocalist, while his father was an avid fan of Kwaito.
He was initially a hip-hop musician from 2012 before switching to Amapiano, which is now taking over the South African music industry. In 2015, he was part of a music group known as the Mighty Kings. The upcoming artist released his debut Amapiano studio album, Notumato, on 21st October 2021, and Mzansi is loving every beat.
