South Africans recently gave flowers to one of the country's most-celebrated Kwaito stars, Mduduzi "M'du" Masilela.
On 19 August 2025, Twitter (X) user Bash_Shabs82 called to give the star his flowers by urging followers to name one of his best songs:
"Name one banger from this legend."
The legendary musician rose to prominence in the 1990s with his unique style of Kwaito music, both as a vocalist and producer. Hits like Chomi Yabana and Sabela quickly became fan-favourites and solidified Masilela's place in the Kwaito history books.

In his decades-long career, the 55-year-old has released multiple albums and collaborated with notable artists in the South African music industry, including Trompies and the late Kwaito star Mandoza.
In 2024, he also collaborated with singer Zonke Dinaka, who sampled one of his hit songs.

Though no longer releasing music, the self-proclaimed Godfather of Kwaito has not stopped performing some of his hits. He is embraced not only by fans who grew up to his music, but also by the younger generation of Kwaito lovers.
He told Briefly News that the love he receives from fans keeps him grounded:
"Love is a wonderful thing, so pure and true. I feel truly blessed. It keeps me grounded and brings me so much joy. Genuine love is like a fountain of youth; it keeps me healthy and young at heart. I am grateful every day for the love I give and receive."

Despite initial criticism of the track, fans said Mufasa has once again proven that he is a musical genius and that the numbers were an indicator.
