South Africa Reacts to DJ Chymamusique and Poizen’s Fatal Car Wreck

In the days following DJ Chymamusique's car accident, pictures from the horrific scene have surfaced on social media.

The Lost in Words hitmaker was involved in a terrible car crash in the early hours of Saturday, 30 August 2025, along the N1 near the Ysterberg Mountain outside Polokwane.

Reports indicate that he was travelling with fellow musician, DJ Poizen, who unfortunately lost his life.

However, social media only became aware of the accident's circumstances when a photo surfaced, which is believed to show a head-on collision

Reports revealed additional casualties at the scene, with four more bodies discovered along with Poizen's

Twitter (X) user samza177 posted a picture of one of the cars at the scene and reminded netizens of the other car's occupants, who were seemingly disregarded:

"In the midst of this horrific accident that claimed the life of Poizen and landed Chyma in the ICU, someone asked how the occupants of the other vehicle were doing; that's when it hit home."

The tweet reminds online users to show compassion to all who were affected, and not just those they know.
