Did Da L.E.S' family ask for financial assistance?
Da L.E.S charted social media trends and made headlines when he cancelled his annual all-white party due to the stroke. Days after the family issued a statement confirming that the Gotta Keep It Going rapper was in a stable condition, reports about a request for financial aid started making rounds on social media.
A post that made the rounds on social media at the time noted that his friends were donating money to the rapper's mother, Priscilla Mampe's account, to help with Lesley's medical bills. However, the Mampe family nipped the rumours in the bud, revealing that they had not requested financial assistance from the Heaven rapper's fans.
Social media users were not convinced by the statement released by the rapper's family. Many felt the Mampe family only issued the statement because of the massive backlash they received on social media.
