Voiceover artist and actress Leera Mthethwa recently commented on SA's popular retailer Shoprite on social media.

Mthethwa, who previously topped social media trends when she bought a brand new Mercedes-Benz, says she's a big fan of the retailer.

The influencer shared photos of her brand-new car on her Instagram account after Mzansi Magic cancelled the popular telenovela Gomora.

The actress shared on her X account on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, that she's a big fan of Shoprite.

"I’m actually a big fan of Shoprite’s efforts to make sure that as many people eat as possible, no matter how little we have, ❤️" she wrote.

Mthethwa was reacting to social media user @teffo_ME's post about a beef potjie price from the retailer, which cost R8.77.

"Plug for those who stay alone,😭" she captioned the post.
