Radio host Mbuyiseni Ndlozi sparked mixed reactions after proposing a peaceful demonstration in support of Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi on the day he is set to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Mkhwanazi will appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry as well as Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee this September. Both the commission and committee will probe Mkhwanazi’s allegations of political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system.

On Tuesday, 9 September 2025, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, who left politics for a radio career, took to his X account and proposed special support for Mkhwanazi on the day he appears before retired Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga and his team.

In his post, the 40-year-old radio personality urged South Africans to take action, arguing that it is the only way the government will take notice. The post was captioned:
“Bantwana benkosi. 17 September 2025 is National Mkhwanazi Day. Danko! Perhaps we should all pitch in numbers for a very peaceful demonstration in support of this important whistleblower in our lifetime? After Babita Deokaran… We can’t stand by anymore! I worry if we don’t show mass support, they will never appreciate how sick and tired we all are of corruption!”

Mbuyiseni Ndlozi slams Ramaphosa over Madlanga Commission
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi previously criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa after the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry was postponed, as reported by Briefly News.
The commission set up by President Ramaphosa initially stalled because of unfulfilled commitments by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development.
