Media personality Sizwe Dhlomo had social media talking when he responded to an X post about food prices from Shoprite.

The radio personality, who previously made headlines when he commented on Sol Phenduka's exit from Kaya FM, praised the retailer online.

Dhlomo also recently praised award-winning singer Nomcebo Zikode for buying a brand new Bentley.

The Kaya FM radio personality responded to social media user @TshepoBacele's post about Shoprite on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.

Tshepo shared a photo of a meal from the retailer, which was priced under R5.00, and captioned the post: "Shoprite will never let you die in hunger."

Dhlomo replied on his X account: "This is actually a good deal."

Gomora star Leera Mthethwa reacts to Shoprite prices

In more entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that actress Leera Mthethwa, who portrayed the character of Mrs Jackie Hlongwane on Gomora, reacted to Shoprite's prices.

Mthethwa shared on her social media that she's a fan of Shoprite's low prices because the retailer makes sure everyone is fed.
