2025 is surely DJ Zinhle's year as she has been winning frequently since it began, and recently she achieved yet another career milestone after pulling off the greatest festival, Zee Nation.
According to Daily Sun, the 42-year-old businesswoman and mother of two was earlier awarded a prestigious prize for her outstanding work in the entertainment industry ever since she came into the limelight.
The publication mentioned that the star was honoured with the Powerhouse Award during the 2025 WomenCan Awards ceremony, which took place on Tuesday night, 9 September 2025, in Johannesburg. This award was a bonus for the star as it came a day after she celebrated her daughter, Asante's 4th birthday.
During the ceremony, upon receiving the award, DJ Zinhle shared a powerful speech on the podium and expressed how grateful she was to have been honoured.

"This award is deeply personal for me as I dedicate it to every single woman who dares to dream and keep the fire burning. I would also like to express my gratitude to the organisation for honouring me with this award.
"And also for them having created such a great platform for us women in order to celebrate and also remind each other about the power we hold whenever we stand together. This evening, I am accepting this award and not for myself but for every woman who has a dream," she said.
One of the WomenCan organisers, Tumi Mthembu, also told the publication that they were amazed by DJ Zinhle's leadership and her ability to uplift other women.
Mthembu said:
"This award is not only about her achievements, but also for the inspiration she gave us all to embrace our inner fire."
DJ Zinhle winning this award places her on the list of many South African women who have made a difference in their fields.

DJ Zinhle, born Ntombezinhle Jiyane-Mohosana, is a powerhouse in South Africa’s entertainment scene, known as a DJ, producer, businesswoman, and media personality.
Beyond her musical talents, Zinhle has explored acting, making her mark as a judge on shows like Jika MaJika, Idols South Africa, Turn It On, and 1's and 2's.
