Ntsiki Mazwai may be a controversial media personality, but she also has the qualifications to back it up.

The podcaster recently engaged in a back-and-forth with an unknown Twitter (X) user on 16 September 2025, and the brief conversation quickly took a sharp turn.

What started with Ntsiki questioning Helen Zille's return to mainstream politics shifted to a user by the name Curious Dave questioning Ntsiki's intelligence:

"That 30% education is not helping you."

However, she did not take the insult lying down and returned with a fiery clap back:

"I’m probably more educated than you, Dave. I have a master's degree, what about you?"

And just like that, their conversation came to an end, with Dave seemingly exiting their interaction with his tail between his legs.

Ntsiki, known as a singer, podcaster and activist, is also highly educated and holds three qualifications. She has a Diploma in Marketing Management from IMM Graduate School, and a Master of Arts in creative writing (cum laude) from Rhodes University.

She also holds a qualification in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation from Wits Business School, obtained in 2014, which has helped her venture into several creative avenues, including podcasting, poetry and beadwork.

In the comments, another troll attempted to criticise her degree, to which Ntsiki responded:

"My talent is words, and that’s what I've lived on for almost 30 years. Imagine that.
"Even here, I get paid for my words. I have no interest in being an engineer or whatever you think I should be. I enjoy being gifted with words and creativity that take me to amazing places. It’s truly a gift."
