Nota Baloyi recently hailed Amapiano pioneer DJ Maphorisa and gave him his flowers.

In an interview on Piano Pulse, Nota weighed in on Samthing Soweto's beef with Phori, and also Young Stunna referring to Kabza De Small as his father.

Nota makes bold claims about DJ Maphorisa

The hosts Thakgi and Munaka were discussing Samthing Soweto's grievances against Amapiano musician DJ Maphorisa. Nota and the hosts agreed that Soweto was greedy, but when he was asked why, he said he had no respect for Phori.

"He doesn't respect Phori, dawg. You guys do not understand who Phori is, that is the thing," he remarked. "Y'all think of people like they are internet sensations. Dawg, I drive two Benzes because of Phori," he added.

Nota explained that one Mercedes-Benz is in storage, and he drives the other one.

"Do you know what that means: He changed my life!" he exclaimed.

The controversial personality further claimed that Maphorisa also changed Kabza De Small's life.

"Phori is guilty of it, too. Because he doesn't do the necessary thing to give good karma out. So when he took Kabza from whoever was working with him, he made sure that the person got a little percentage or commission forever just to keep the peace. Also, for Kabza to learn the level of respect for Phori," he said.

This, according to Nota, was going to teach Phori to respect the work Kabza put in before he got established.

On Kabza's relationship with Young Stunna, Nota finds it odd that the singer refers to Kabza as his father. Thakgi argued that it is because the Yanos producer has had more impact in his career than Phori did.

This prompted a speedy remark from Nota, who said, "There is no Kabza without Phori. Kabza would not be able to give out careers without Phori."
