Uncle Waffles Takes Amapiano Global with 'Mix It Up Vol 4'

If you ever doubted Uncle Waffles' star power, then this might change your mind. Waffles led a group of talented artists to produce what her label named the most exciting project to come out of Africa this year.
The EP blends multiple worlds, namely Nigeria, London, United Kingdom and some of Mzansi's rising producers.
The Swazi-born Amapiano superstar Uncle Waffles was the executive producer of the EP, which was in partnership with Nandos. The artists who worked on the project include Nigerian singer Fave, UK rapper Ghetts, rising star Chy Cartier from North London, as well as South African producers Beats Slide, Royal MusiQ, TK Creedlion, Makhanj, and Sbuda Maleather.
The project consists of three tracks, namely, Gen Z Love by Fave and Ice Beats Slide featuring Sbuda Maleather, Jozi by Chy Cartier and Royal MusiQ featuring Makhanj and Bad One by Ghetts and TK Creedlion featuring Makhanj.

The restaurant food chain Nando's played a pivotal role in making the project a success. It opened its studios in Johannesburg’s Constitution Hill (the Flame Studios) and London’s Soho. It was released on Friday, 19 September 2025, under Bridges For Music Records (BFM).

Uncle Waffles addresses weight loss claims
Before the EP got released, Uncle Waffles was inundated with messages about her weight loss.
She finally addressed this on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, in a TikTok video.
“#stitch with @Penelope_ubisi It’s so odd lol. Let a ho live, eh (I’m not sick, my weight is literally none of your business, even tho that may be shocking to a dumb f)”
She also addressed the nasty comments about her being trans. Waffles explained that she does not want the people around her to continue catching a lot of hate.
“The trans conversation started off based on a Facebook post that someone made about me and Uncle Vinny, saying that I was Uncle Vinny's brother and that I was jealous. I decided to transition for more attention, right?” Uncle Waffles said.
Uncle Waffles makes waves with Ice Spice
In a previous report from Briefly News, Uncle Waffles' body language became a topic online after she was spotted with American rapper Ice Spice.
In a video shared widely on social media, Uncle Waffles was spotted sitting next to Ice Spice at the New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, 16 September. The video sparked a flurry of reactions, with netizens focusing on Uncle Waffles' body language.
