Rising star Khayalethu "Khaya" Xaba, who is famously known for playing Mpendulo on Smoke and Mirrors, has announced his new romantic relationship.

The actor, who recently joined Mzansi Wethu's Homecoming, is dating his on-screen love interest, Kiba Mavi, on the telenovela.

This comes after the actor confirmed his departure from eTV's cancelled TV show, Smoke and Mirrors.

Xaba recently shared photos of himself and Mavi kissing while on a baecation on his Instagram Story and captioned the post:

"Ngwetsi ya bomma," (My mom's bride).

Social media user @blackmluja recently shared a video on his X account of Xaba and Mavi's characters on Mzansi Wethu's telenovela Homecoming.

On the show, the actors play high school teenagers, Vusi and Nomfundo, who recently began a romantic relationship.

The rising star Kiba Mavi also explained on her TikTok account how she and Xaba get into their characters.

"POV, you and your boyfriend only get into character when the cameras start rolling," she captioned the video.
