Seasoned media personality Nandi Madida has responded to Errol Musk, the father of tech billionaire Elon Musk, following his claims in a viral interview in the United States.
During an interview with CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan for Sullivan’s upcoming special, MisinfoNation: White Genocide, Errol Musk claimed he never witnessed oppression of black South Africans during the country's decades-long apartheid.
“How do you oppress? You know, we gave them work, we fed them. They grew from a tiny little group into a massive group. That’s not oppression, that’s feeding them! You only grow big if you get fed. You only start at 800,000 and become 50 million if you get fed! We fed them, for crying out loud! You know, enough with this nonsense,” Musk claimed.

In a subsequent post, the media personality, who previously lamented the current state of South Africa, said she does not want the future generation of black South Africans to grow up believing negative or watered-down narratives about African history. She argued that African ancestors were exceptional and colonialism tried to erase, distort and steal that history. The post was captioned:
“I refuse for future generations to be brainwashed into believing our ancestors were anything less than extraordinary. Africans come from brilliance, civilisation, innovation and genius, and colonialism has continuously appropriated, rewritten and exploited that at our expense. Our children deserve to know the truth about where they come from.”
