In a subsequent post, @TheAudioLabSA shared a statement allegedly released by Kelvin Momo explaining why he had failed to perform at the Pretty Girls Love Mamalisa event.

In the statement, the 2025 Red Bull Symphonic headliner said he did not make it to the event due to fuel shortages.

“Unfortunately, Kelvin Momo was unable to attend due to unforeseen fuel shortages. Despite efforts by him and his team—who visited multiple petrol stations—they were unable to secure diesel (50ppm) in time, and ultimately had to make the difficult decision to return home,” part of the statement read.

Momo apologised for any inconvenience caused by his no-show and shared that he and the Mamalis team are working on an alternative performance.
