Lungelo KM is thinking far beyond the microphone. The podcaster and founder of Engineer Your Life has spoken candidly about his long-term ambitions, making it clear that he does not picture himself in podcasting indefinitely.
The conversation unfolded during an interview on renowned broadcaster Relebogile Mabotja's podcast on 31 July 2026, where Lungelo reflected openly on his career trajectory and the role podcasting has played in shaping it, casually stating that he has "planned his exit from podcasting."
Lungelo KM on outgrowing one title
For Lungelo, the podcast has always been a launchpad rather than a final destination. He described the platform as a vehicle for telling meaningful stories and sparking conversations that matter, but stressed that it was never meant to capture the full scope of what he wants to achieve.

He spoke about the danger of becoming too comfortable in one space, arguing that recognising when to evolve is a critical part of personal and professional growth.
"A lot of work that you do on camera means that people are entitled to you, to who you are, to what makes you happy and what makes you tick. To being questioned about being doing something that is fighting for people and having those very people be against you."
Lungelo, who is an Electrical Engineer by profession, was careful not to disclose specific plans, but made it clear that his ambitions stretch well beyond hosting interviews. He wants to build something that reflects multiple facets of who he is, rather than being boxed into a single identity.

Lungelo KM wants to build a legacy
A recurring theme in the interview was the idea of legacy. Lungelo noted that many people become so attached to a title or profession that they resist change even when growth demands it. He hopes his own journey will serve as proof that reinventing yourself is not a retreat but a step forward.
Despite the forward-looking tone of his remarks, Lungelo was equally vocal about his gratitude. He acknowledged the role his audience has played in his journey and credited podcasting with connecting him to influential people and giving a platform to stories that deserve to be heard.
Over the years, the podcaster has hosted some of the country's most influential figures across various industries, from celebrated actors and chart-topping musicians to visionary entrepreneurs and top-tier TV stars.
By bridging those diverse worlds, Engineer Your Life established itself as a premier destination for high-impact conversations. However, as Lungelo prepares for his next chapter, he remains focused on expanding his horizon and building a legacy that transcends any single platform.
