Former Muvhango actress Tebogo Thobejane has hit back at Sol Phenduka following his public apology over a joke he made about a woman who was missing at the time. Elizabeth "Tsontso" Moselakgomo's body was later discovered in Kempton Park, making what had seemed like casual banter on a Podcast and Chill episode a deeply inappropriate moment.
Phenduka released a video apology on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, after the severity of the situation became clear. Thobejane, who has had her own run-ins with the Podcast and Chill crew, responded on Instagram the same day, posting a video of the apology with a pointed caption that referenced her past experience.
In her post responding to Phenduka's apology, Thobejane wrote:
"I remember them laughing about my shooting super looser."

The caption appeared to draw a direct line between the mockery she once endured at the hands of the crew and Phenduka's now-regretted joke about Moselakgomo.
Tebogo Thobejane's history with Podcast and Chill
This is not the first time Thobejane has taken aim at the platform. In October 2024, she fired back at MacG after he ridiculed her for attracting only five views on her new YouTube channel. In 2025, she again criticised MacG, Tumelo Ramaphosa, and the broader Podcast and Chill crew following the murder of Witness D, who was killed in front of his wife and children.
On 6 December 2025, Thobejane used her Instagram stories to react to that killing, publicly challenging those on the platform to reflect on whether they still found it entertaining now that a witness had lost his life.

Ntsiki Mazwai unmoved by Sol Phenduka’s apology
Tebogo Thobejane isn't the only popular personality who reacted to Sol Phenduka's apology.
Briefly News reported that Ntsiki Mazwai pushed back against the apology, linking Sol's behaviour to a past incident where MacG made remarks about her personal hygiene.
The Podcast and Chill duo are no strangers to controversy, currently facing a legal battle with Minnie Dlamini over similar remarks.
