DJ Maphorisa is riding high after the Scorpion Kings delivered what he called a historic night at FNB Stadium, and he wants Mzansi to know just how much it meant to him. In a casual, selfie-style video filmed indoors on the night of Monday, 21 September 2026, the amapiano heavyweight spoke directly into the camera with raw emotion and genuine gratitude.
"History was made. I won't lie," he said, addressing the fans who packed the stadium to support the Scorpion Kings Live show.
DJ Maphorisa wants a name for the fanbase

"I think Scorpion Kings fans need to have a name. We need to come up with a name so that this movement can continue," he said in the clip.
He also threw the next venue decision open to fans, asking them to weigh in on whether Cape Town or Mozambique should be next. But it was his personal ambition that really caught people's attention — Maphorisa revealed that his dream next stop is the O2 Arena in London.
"My next stop that I would love to do it's O2. It's London. I know it's not South Africa, but yeah, man," he said.
