Nadia Nakai and Toss have found themselves at the centre of a heated online conversation after releasing their new song "Chomi", which is part of their joint EP, and it is safe to say Mzansi is not holding back.
The music video, shot in a stylised indoor studio setting with white archways, cinematic lighting, and a motorcycle as a centrepiece, dropped over the weekend. The clip features the pair, who have been fuelling romance rumours for a while now, posing and dancing together in a glamorous, romantic visual. But while the production had obvious ambition, many South Africans felt the song itself failed to deliver.
A clip of the video posted on X on Sunday, 27 September 2026, by user @hgh4hours sparked an immediate wave of reactions. The post quoted a comment from @brozachii that read:
"All the media stunts just to end up dropping trash 🗑️"

Mzansi reacts to Nadia Nakai and Toss' new song
The criticism ranged from the song's composition to its mixing and production value, with many fans expressing disbelief that the track received the green light from Nadia Nakai's team before release.
