Kolbe shared her reaction via Instagram, posting against an eNCA News clip of the address. Her words were unsparing.

"Speaking is clearly not enough, Mr President," she wrote. "I'd be so ashamed to be him. Yoh! Same old… he literally does nothing! That's why govt departments get away with so much corruption because he does nothing!!! No consequences. Must be so nice."

In a second post, she questioned the sincerity behind the speech, writing:

"He likes the cheering. That's all. We need it, yes, so what now? 'Now', but you said this before? So many times? What's different now? Eish, who wrote your speech? Useless. Yoh ANC must go."
